Types of Enlightenment
There are two types of enlightenment.
The first is the enlightenment attained by a Buddha. This type of enlightenment is especially referred to as the “supreme enlightenment.” A being who has attained supreme enlightenment — that is, a Buddha — is able to see not only all things and facts that exist in the world as they are, but also the principles that exist within them.
The second refers to all enlightenments attained before attaining supreme enlightenment. This type of enlightenment makes it possible to see a specific object or fact as it truly is.
